Section 289.020 - "Basic certificate" defined

"Basic certificate" means the certificate issued by the Executive Director which is evidence that a person has met the minimum standards established by this chapter to be appointed to perform the duties of a peace officer. The term includes, without limitation, a basic certificate by reciprocity as a category III peace officer issued pursuant to section 1.
