Section 240.460 - Show cause orders1. Hearings will be held before the Secretary of State pursuant to a show cause order being issued to the notary public concerned by the Secretary of State. The Secretary of State may designate one of his or her deputies or another competent person to act in his or her place at the hearing.2. The show cause order must be substantially in the form available from the Office of the Secretary of State, and must include:(a) A statement of the time, place and nature of the hearing.(b) A statement of the legal authority and jurisdiction under which the hearing is to be held.(c) A reference to the cause for which the notary public's commission is subject to revocation.(d) A short and plain statement of the matters asserted.3. The show cause order constitutes notice of the hearing, as required by NRS 233B.121. A show cause order will be served at least 20 days before the time set for the hearing. A hearing which has previously been continued may be reset on notice of not less than 10 days. Hearings will be held at such place in the State as may be designated by the Secretary of State in the show cause order.Nev. Admin. Code § 240.460
