Section 213.100 - Effect of new criminal code

An application for the commutation of a punishment submitted by a person serving a sentence prescribed under a previous criminal law which is longer than now prescribed under current law will be considered on the merits of the case alone and not solely because, under the new law, the punishment has been reduced.
