Hospitals that have combined into a single entity shall be assigned a single combined weighted average for each of the following: direct medical education amount, if applicable, indirect medical education amount, if applicable, cost-to-charge ratio, outpatient percentage, capital amount, and any other applicable rates or add-ons. The weights shall equal each hospital's base year Medicaid discharges as a proportion of total Medicaid discharges for the merged hospitals, and shall be applied to the current fiscal year rates which were calculated for each hospital.
