An individual who qualifies for an exemption from participation in Employment First may elect to volunteer to participate in the Employment First program. The time limit does not apply until the individual no longer qualifies for an exemption. Any resulting failure to participate in the activities agreed upon in the Self-Sufficiency Contract would restrict the individual from participating and depending on his or her status he or she may be subject to a sanction.
