Section 177-7-002 - REPORT OF RESULTS FOR MEDICO-LEGAL PURPOSES AND VALID TESTS
002.01 The presence of a drug shall mean any laboratory confirmatory test result, signal, or finding that shall be equal to or greater than the cutoff level. The cutoff levels are as follows: marijuana metabolite 50 ng/ml, cocaine metabolite 500 ng/ml, morphine 500 ng/ml, codeine 500 ng/ml, phencyclidine 25 ng/ml, amphetamines 500 ng/ml, and methamphetamine 500 ng/ml. The specific metabolite of marijuana shall be delta-9-tetra-hydrocannabinol-9-carboxylic acid and the cocaine metabolite shall be benzoylecgonine.
002.02 The presence of a drug shall be determined by analysis using a Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer. The absence of a drug may be determined by an initial screening method.
