"Pitless adaptor or unit" shall mean an underground assembly for a well which attaches directly to the casing and provides watertight subsurface connections without the use of a pit and includes the underground distributor and steel extension to the ground surface as well as an adapter which is clamped to the well casing which already extends to the ground surface.
