"Notification," as used in this Chapter, means Certified Mail to the employee's last known address, or personal delivery, or deposit at last known residence. Notifications issued to an individual employed at the Department may be made by e-mail or personal delivery to the employee's office. In the event of personal delivery, a receipt acknowledging delivery will be signed by the laid off employee.
