Section 92-92-008 - Safety Inspection Process for Pupil Transportation Vehicles008.01 Schools shall inspect and assure that pupil transportation vehicles meet the minimum allowable safety criteria pursuant to Section 79-602 R.R.S.008.01A All pupil transportation vehicles used for the transportation of pupils shall be inspected before school opens in the fall and each eighty days during the time period school is in session. Any item not meeting such criteria shall be brought into compliance prior to the vehicle being used to transport pupils. 008.01A1 Inspections shall be conducted by a motor vehicle mechanic appointed by the school board or governing authority.008.01A2 A mechanic's inspection report for each vehicle shall be on file with the school. (See Appendix I)008.01A3 The chief administrative officer of each school district shall annually certify to the Department of Education that inspections pursuant to Section 79-602 R.R.S. have been performed.92 Neb.
