Rule 8.22.2908 - PLATERS (FARRIERS, SHOERS, BLACKSMITHS)(1) Each plater, shoer or blacksmith shall obtain a license from the board before practicing his trade on the grounds of the race meeting.(2) Bar plates may be used only with the consent of the stewards and their discontinuances must be approved by the stewards.(3) A horse starting in a race shall be shod with racing plates unless otherwise approved by the stewards.Mont.
