Rule 37.14.708 - PERMISSIBLE DOSES, LEVELS, AND CONCENTRATIONS: EXPOSURE OF MINORS(1) For determining the doses specified in this rule, a dose from X or gamma rays up to 10 MeV may be assumed to be equivalent to the exposure measured by a properly calibrated appropriate instrument in air at or near the body surface in the region of the highest dose rate.(2) No licensee or registrant shall possess, use, or transfer sources of radiation in such a manner as to cause any individual within a restricted area, who is under 18 years of age, to receive in any period of 1 calendar quarter from all sources of radiation in such licensee's or registrant's possession a dose in excess of 10% of the limits specified in the table in ARM 37.14.705(2).(3) No licensee shall possess, use, or transfer radioactive material in such a manner as to cause any individual within a restricted area, who is under 18 years of age, to be exposed to airborne radioactive material in an average concentration in excess of the limits specified in Appendix A, Table II, of this subchapter. For purposes of this section, concentrations may be averaged over periods not greater than a week.(4) The provisions of ARM 37.14.707(4) (b) and (5) shall apply to exposures subject to (3) of this rule except that the references in ARM 37.14.707(4) (b) and (5) to Appendix A, Table I, Column 1 of this subchapter shall be deemed to be references to Appendix A, Table II, Column 1 of this subchapter.Mont.
