Rule 37.106.2621 - MEDICATIONS
(1) If a client is required to take medication while at the center, the client must be capable of taking his/her own medications, with the following assistance from staff:
(a) reminding the client to take the medication at the proper time;
(b) removing medication containers from storage;
(c) assisting with removal of a cap;
(d) guiding the hand of the client; and
(e) observing the client take the medication.
(2) All medications must remain in locked storage until the client is discharged.
(3) The center must maintain for each client a medication administration record listing all medications administered and those that are refused or not administered.
