Rule 36.22.1229 - WATER INJECTION AND GAS REPRESSURING(1) The owner or operator of any well may inject water or gas under pressure into a formation containing oil or gas for the purpose of obtaining oil or gas from the reservoir upon application, hearing, and approval by the board.(2) Wells used for the injection of water or gas into a producing formation shall be cased with sound casing so as not to permit leakage, and the casing cemented in such manner as to protect oil, gas, or fresh water reservoirs.Mont.
