Rule 24.40.803 - EFFECTIVE DATE, BACKDATING, AND CANCELLATION OF CLAIM(1) A claim is effective on the Sunday of the week in which the claim is filed and remains in effect until: (a) the end of the benefit year; or(b) the claim is cancelled.(2) A claimant may request cancellation of a claim within ten days after the date of an initial or revised monetary determination. A cancellation request may be done through the online portal or by mail.(3) The department may backdate a claim or grant a late request to cancel a claim if the claimant shows good cause for the delay in filing the claim or requesting cancellation.
