Section 8 CSR 60-2.170 - Settlement NegotiationsPURPOSE: This rule describes the process of settlement negotiations and settlements at the hearing stage.
(1) Where a settlement of the case is reached by the parties prior to or after the public hearing, the parties shall sign the necessary documents and submit these documents to the presiding officer within the time ordered by the presiding officer.(2) Where a case is settled by parties on the date of hearing, the terms of the settlement shall be placed on the record and the appropriate documentation submitted in writing after that to the presiding officer within the time ordered by the presiding officer.(3) Where the parties fail to complete and submit a written, signed settlement, within the time ordered, the presiding officer may again schedule the case for hearing.
