Section 15 CSR 30-10.050 - [Effective 6/30/2024] Election ProceduresPURPOSE: This amendment updates the statutory reference and removes outdated terms.
(1) The election authority shall appoint a minimum of four (4) judges for each polling place to be used in the election according to sections 115.079, 115.081, and 115.085, RSMo.(2) All persons not previously trained in the use of the type of voting equipment being used, prior to entering into the performance of their duties as judges at the election, shall attend a course of instruction for judges in the use and operation of the electronic voting system, conducted under the authorization and supervision of the election authority. In addition to the normal duties of the judges of election, the instruction shall cover the proper use and procedures for use of the voting devices, marking of the ballot , procedures for write-in votes (when applicable), replacing spoiled ballots, and procedures for safeguarding and transfer of ballots and other materials.(3) The voting and marking devices, registration books or electronic registration books, identification cards, ballots, and other necessary supplies shall be delivered to the polling places prior to 5:30 a.m. on election day.(4) The election authority shall provide the Missouri Election Laws, published by the secretary of state, to be given to election judges in each polling place.
