Section 1 CSR 50-2.030 - Ex Parte CommunicationsPURPOSE: This amendment clarifies who may communicate with the commission in efforts to settle a case and the terms under which that communication may occur.
(1) A party or the party's representative shall not communicate, directly or indirectly, with any member of the commission in connection with any issue of fact or in connection with any other substantive issue relating to a specific case except upon notice and opportunity for all parties to participate.(2) The commission staff may communicate with the commission in an effort to settle cases pending before the commission without providing notice and an opportunity to be heard by all parties.
