Colleges desiring to change the status of a program must write a letter requesting the change and stating the rationale and ramifications of the change. The change is referred to the MDE which reviews the request and provides its recommendation. The request and MDE recommendation are then discussed with he MCCB committee chair of programs to determine the recommendation that will be made to the Board. The MCCB then acts on the recommendation with the results reported to MDE and the college. The programs division shall maintain a file and database for all programs approved.
