Section 7-34-B-300.165 - Public participation(a) Prior to the adoption of any policies and procedures needed to comply with Part B of IDEA (including any amendments to those policies and procedures), the MDE ensures that there are public hearings and provides adequate notice of the hearings, and an opportunity for comment available to the general public, including individuals with disabilities and parents of children with disabilities.(b) Before submitting a State Plan under the IDEA 2004 regulations to the U.S. Department of Education, the MDE will comply with the public participation requirements in paragraph (a) of this section and those in 20 U.S.C. 1232 d(b)(7).7 Miss.
