Whenever the opening date set above falls on a Sunday, the season shall begin on the preceding Saturday. NO OTHER SEASON shall be open and no other animals shall be hunted or disturbed.

B. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. WMA USER PERMIT: All persons using this wildlife management area, except those exempt from purchasing an annual hunting or fishing license, must carry on their person an annual statewide Wildlife Management Area User Permit. This permit is required in addition to completing the daily visitor use permit or by using the WMA Check-In App and any required license and may be purchased wherever licenses are sold.
2. BAG LIMIT: Same as statewide bag limits EXCEPT: Rabbit - a party limit of 8 rabbits per day and the bag limit on antlered buck deer is one (1) buck and on antlerless deer is one (1). All harvested deer count towards statewide bag limits, unless otherwise stated.
3. WATERFOWL:
a. All waterfowl hunts, except for the waterfowl youth, Veterans, and Active Military hunts and the post season light goose conservation order, are draw hunts only. You may apply online at www.mdwfp.com. See application for hunt dates, application deadlines, and other information about permitted hunts.
b. Waterfowl hunts will be held on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Dates for the special youth, Veterans and Active Military hunt will be the same as the statewide special youth waterfowl hunt. Each permitted hunter will be allowed two hunting guests.
c. All hunters must be checked in and out by area personnel.
d. All hunters must remain inside their assigned hunt station areas at all times.
e. On the morning of area waterfowl hunts, non-permitted hunters may come to the WMA Headquarters and enter a random drawing at 5 a.m. for any openings created by permitted hunters not showing up.
f. Shooting hours are one half hour before sunrise until 12 p.m.
g. All hunters and equipment must be removed from area by 1 p.m. Spent shot shells must be removed from area.
4. RABBIT:
a. Rabbit hunting will be allowed by special permit only. You may apply online at www.mdwfp.com. See application for hunt dates, application deadlines, and other information about permitted hunts.
b. Selected hunters can bring 4 guests during each hunt.
5. HANDICAPPED, SENIOR ADULT, and YOUTH DEER HUNTING:
a. Handicapped, Youth, and Senior Adult hunting is by special permit only. You may apply online at www.mdwfp.com. See application for hunt dates, application deadlines, and other information about permitted hunts.
b. To be eligible, handicapped applicants must have a physical condition which makes them fully dependent on a wheelchair for mobility.
c. Handicapped and Youth hunts will be held on Saturdays beginning at 1:00pm and all selected participants must check in and out at the headquarters.
6. LEGAL BUCKS: Legal bucks are those with an inside spread of at least 10 inches OR one main beam length of at least 13 inches. For hunters 15 years of age or younger any antlered buck is a legal buck.
7. DOVE HUNTING: Dove hunting is allowed on designated fields from 2 p.m. - sunset on Wednesdays and Saturdays during the first season only. No entry prior to 1:00pm on opening day. The number of hunters on the dove field is limited to 40.
8. DOG RESTRICTIONS: Dogs are allowed for rabbit and waterfowl hunting only. Hunting, running, or pursuing hogs with the use of dogs is prohibited.
9. LEGAL WEAPONS: Handicapped and Youth deer hunt participants may use centerfire rifles, shotguns with slugs, or primitive weapons during any hunt date.
10. OFF-ROAD MOTORIZED VEHICLES/ATVs: ORVs/ATVs/Electric Bicycles are allowed on designated roads or trails for hunting access only. Additionally, electric bicycles may be ridden on marked foot-traffic trails only by users 65 years of age and older. They may not be ridden on any leveed roads or trails.
11. HORSES: No horses allowed.
12. CAMPING: No camping allowed.
13. NON-HUNTING USE/SCOUTING: During Waterfowl seasons, non-hunting use/scouting is allowed by foot traffic only on Tuesdays and Fridays from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m.
