Rule 40-1-8.8 - RULES AND REGULATIONS PERTAINING TO THE REINSTATEMENT OF HUNTING, TRAPPING, AND FISHING PRIVILEGES Public Notice 3797 is hereby amended.
A. Any person whose hunting, trapping and fishing privileges have been revoked as the result of a conviction of head lighting deer, under Section 49-7-95, Mississippi Code of 1972, may have those privileges reinstated only when the following requirements are met:1. Individuals must have satisfactorily completed a Hunter Education course approved by the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks. The Department's Internet course will not be accepted and the course must be taken after the date of conviction.2. Individuals must also meet all other requirements for reinstatement as set forth in 49-7-95, Mississippi Code of 1972.3. Individuals can make written application for reinstatement of their hunting, fishing and trapping privileges at any office of the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks. This application must be accompanied by certification that the applicant has satisfactorily completed an approved hunter education course at a time after the effective date of revocation of his/her hunting, fishing, trapping as well as proof of compliance of any other requirements for reinstatement as stated in 49-7-95, Mississippi Code of 1972.Miss.
