Provides policies and procedures to implement the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) Highway Traffic Noise Policy which was approved by the Federal Highway Administration, 23 Code of Federal Regulations Part 772 ( 23 CFR 772) ( http://www.access.gpo.gov/nara/cfr/waisidx_03/23cfr772_03.htmlorwww.dot.gov) on November 25, 1996. This policy was developed to serve as a guide in the consideration of highway traffic noise and highway traffic noise abatement in the planning, design, and construction of highways.
