Within a reasonable time after receipt of an appraisal assignment, the property owner shall be notified by reasonable means of MDOT's interest in acquiring the real property. A reasonable effort to contact the property owner(s) and to make an appointment to inspect the subject property with the property owner(s) shall be made. The property owner(s) may designate a representative to meet with the appraiser.
