Polyethylene pipelines carrying gases for service lines operating under low pressure will be permitted outside the limits of the highway roadways without encasement. Any polyethylene gas pipeline that is permitted to be installed under the highway roadway must be encased and vented. Any encasement shall be in accordance with SECTIONS 501 - 503.
