This Rule is applicable to the clearing and pruning of trees and other vegetation for utility lines only. Rules for clearing, selective clearing, pruning, and thinning of trees and other vegetation for visibility and aesthetic improvements for certain facilities, visibility improvements for legally erected outdoor advertising signs/devices, as well as sight flare and sight distance safety improvements will be included in other applicable Rules. The trimming or cutting of trees, shrubs and/or vegetation on highway rights-of-way not under the provisions of this Rule but for the purpose to improve or enhance the visibility or view of any Outdoor Advertising Sign or Device, or a potential site for Outdoor Advertising Sign or Device, is strictly prohibited as set forth in Rule 37.1.7501.09002, Control of Outdoor Advertising Adjacent to State Controlled Routes.
