Section 37-1-7201-03000-102The Geotechnical Branch of Materials Division provides geotechnical services to the Department. The major functions of the Geotechnical Branch include but are not limited to the following.
1. Provide subsurface explorations for bridge foundations, retaining walls, building foundations, roadway sections requiring special design considerations, and landslides.2. Provide testing and analysis of soil samples obtained from subsurface explorations.3.
