To conduct the required merit review and subrecipient monitoring for certain awards, Internal Audit Division requires entities to complete an audit verification indicating: their reporting and compliance requirements, their ability to properly administer federal funds, and affirmation that they are following all state and Federal laws, regulations, and applicable guidance under penalty of perjury. This verification and the most recent fiscal year's audit report or financial information should be submitted to MDOT no later than nine months after the end of the entity's fiscal year.
