Applications as submitted will be reviewed and approved by the Committee. Members are appointed in accordance with the provisions of Section 65. The Committee will make formal recommendations to the Mississippi Transportation Commission based on the justifications included in each project application package. Where applicable, as in the case of Urban Transportation Systems identified in the statute, a written request justification, submitted on behalf of the urban system will be used as the basis for recommending approval. This justification must include the amount and allocation of requested funds.
