Rule 30-3201-9.4 - PSYCHOLOGISTS EMERITUS A psychologist who holds a valid license to practice in Mississippi may apply for psychologist emeritus if the psychologist meets following criteria, from Miss Code Ann § 73-31-17:
A. The psychologist is 65 years old or older, andB. Has held a Mississippi license for at least twenty (20) continuous years, andC. Is retired from full-time practice, as defined by no more that eighty (80) hours per month of practice of any type, as defined by Miss Code Ann § 73-31-3(d), andD. Has submitted the appropriate application to the Board.E. Upon approval by the Board, the psychologist emeritus must renew his or her license on the same annual schedule as permanent license at one half (1/2) the amount of the permanent license renewal fee.F. Continuing Education requirements are unchanged.G. If a psychologist wishes to give up emeritus status and reinstate a standard license he or she must file a written request with the Board.30 Miss.
