Rule 30-2101-6.4 - Documentation of Continuing Education HoursA. Instructors: On or before the renewal of a license after the close of the most current biennial period, an instructor should submit documentation of any CEIT hours earned in any category other than categories One or Two. The documentation must be applicable proof of participation in activities for any category in which credit is claimed. The documentation, combined with hours earned in Categories One and Two, must verify completion of the required twenty-four (24) hours of continuing education, in order to renew a license in an active status. B. Master Cosmetologist/Master Manicurist/Master Esthetician: 1. In order to have the designation of a master cosmetologist/master manicurist/master esthetician printed on the license, an applicant must submit documentation of any continuing education hours earned in any category other than categories One and Two. The documentation must be applicable proof of participation in activities for any category in which credit is claimed. The documentation, combined with hours earned in Categories One and Two, must verify completion of the required eight (8) hours of continuing education. 2. In order to renew a license as a master cosmetologist, master manicurist or master esthetician an applicant must submit documentation of any continuing education hours earned in any category other than categories One or Two. The documentation must be applicable proof of participation in activities for any category in which credit is claimed. The documentation, combined with hours earned in Categories One and Two, must verify completion of the required eight (8) hours of continuing education. C. The Board reserves the right to require additional documentation and proof for reported activities. When asked for additional documentation, the burden of furnishing proof of compliance rests with the licensee. 30 Miss. Code. R. 2101-6.4
