Rule 30-1902-3.3 - Standards of Ethical Conduct (See also Section 73-53-17ff, MS Code Annotated, 1972.)A. The social worker's primary responsibility is to clients.B. The social worker must respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained in the course of professional services except as required by law.C. Social work fees must be fair, reasonable, considerate, and commensurate with the services performed.D. The social worker must uphold and advance the values, ethics, knowledge, and mission of the profession.E. The social worker must assist the profession in making social services available to the general public.F. The social worker must strive to become and remain proficient in professional practice.G. The social worker must distinguish clearly between statements and actions made as a private individual and those made as a representative of the social work profession.H. The social worker must not practice beyond the parameters of his/her competencies.I. The social worker must retain ultimate responsibility for the quality and extent of the services he/she performs.J. The social worker must not exploit professional relationships for personal gain.K.
