The purpose of this procedure is to define set rules and regulations governing 73-5-27 of the Mississippi Code of 1972. A board hearing may be granted under certain provisions which must be met in order to hear such charge or charges the board may issue against a registered barber, barber instructor, barber school or college. The Board of Barber Examiners may approve or disapprove a hearing at any time until such board feels a need to convene in relations to such charges or other business related to the barber profession.
The following procedures governing the enactment of a hearing:
A. Per or person (s) requesting a board hearing shall call or mail a typed letter to Mississippi Board of Barber Examiners, 510 George Street, Suite 400, Jackson, MS 39205. B. After person(s) request is confirmed, Office Assistant shall mail a "Request for Hearing" form to person(s) mailing address. C. Person(s) completes the form and mails it back to State Office. D. Director instructs Chief Inspector to conduct an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the matter in question. E. Chief Inspector reports findings to the Director as related to such matter. F. Director may approve or disapprove request for hearing and if approved, person(s) will be contacted via phone call or mail to attend hearing at such time to be determined by the Board of Barber Examiners. 30 Miss.
