Rule 26-2-1.15 - MULTIPLE AND DUAL COMPLETIONS(a) No well shall be permitted to produce either oil or gas from different pools through the same string of casing and no well shall be completed with the casing open to one (1) pool and the tubing open to another, unless a permit is obtained from the Board after notice and hearing.(b) No well shall be permitted to produce from different pools until the pools have been defined and a permit is obtained from the Board after notice and hearing. When an application for a permit is filed to multiply complete after the pools have been so defined, the Supervisor shall have the authority, in his discretion, to issue a temporary permit which shall be good for a period of forty-five (45) days or until a permit shall be authorized or denied by the Board after notice and hearing.(c) After the pools have been defined, applications to multiply complete may be presented on affidavit unless there is an objection to such procedure by the Board or any interested party. If such an objection is not filed with the Supervisor at least five (5) days prior to the date for hearing, the applicant shall have the right to a continuance until the next regular meeting of the Board.MCA Section 53-1-17(3) (1972)
