Rule 24-1-9.1.3 - FINGERPRINTA. Each potential employee and potential volunteer shall be fingerprinted by the Department of Mental Health. B. All employees and volunteers working with children shall be fingerprinted. No potential employee and/or potential volunteer who has a criminal history of conviction or pending indictment of a crime, whether a misdemeanor or felony, that bears upon an individual's fitness to have responsibility for the safety and well-being of children as specified in Section 45-31-12(5) of the Mississippi Code shall be employed or approved as a volunteer in a program that serves children. C. Employees being considered for promotion and others in sensitive positions as deemed necessary by the program directors shall also be fingerprinted. 24 Miss. Code. R. 1-9.1.3
