The Mississippi Soil and Water Conservation Commission has developed standards and specifications for certain BMPs that will contribute to the reduction of nutrient loading to streams from livestock. The BMPs that are eligible for 75% cost share under this program are fencing, stream crossings, trough and tank, water and sediment control basin, animal waste control facility and cattle feed and waste management facility. Eligible landowners apply for cost share assistance through the SWCDs under this program after it is announced each year. Application and payment request forms used in this program are located at the end of Part 903.
