The law provides for the powers and duties of the Board in Miss. Code Ann. Section 69-7-109. Primarily, the Board is charged with operating a farmers market and doing those things necessary to successfully operate such a market, including but not limited to setting rules for those people that come onto the market, setting hours of operation, renting and leasing real or personal property under the control of the market and build any facilities on the grounds under control of the Board that will make the market successful.
