If only a portion of the commodity represented by a receipt is delivered, the original receipt must be returned to the issuing warehouseman at or before the time of such delivery and must be cancelled as provided in this regulation. At the time of cancellation, a new receipt shall be issued covering the balance or undelivered portion of the commodity, which new receipt shall state in the remarks section that it represents grain which was previously evidenced by the original receipt and giving the number thereof.
