Rule 18-14-13.8 - Good CauseA. MDHS will determine whether an individual has fulfilled the work requirement.B. The individual will be considered as fulfilling the work requirement even though he or she missed some hours for good cause if the absence from work, the work program or the workfare program is temporary.C. Good cause will be circumstances beyond the individual's control such as, but not limited to: 2. Illness of another household member requiring the member's presence;3. A household emergency; or4. Transportation is unavailable.D. Good cause to ABAWDs for failure or refusal to participate in a mandatory SNAP E&T program does not provide good cause to ABAWDs who fail to fulfill the ABAWD work requirement.18 Miss. Code.
