The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has developed a listing of key health indicators that can be used to assess health status, identify barriers to access to care, and provide a quantitative measure of need. Table 1 provides a listing of indicators that present a snapshot of the barriers and health problems of the state of Mississippi as they compare to national data.
