Rule 15-4-1-2.1.3 - The Genetics Advisory Committee1. The State Health Officer may appoint or delegate his authority for the purposes of this section to an advisory committee, not to exceed (13) persons, to assist in the design and implementation of this central registry with representation from relevant groups including, but not limited to, hospitals, two (2) pediatricians, board-certified clinical geneticists, personnel of the department, personnel of other appropriate state agencies, and one (1) consumer representative from a family that has experience with a newborn infant with an abnormal screening test. If a central registry advisory committee is created by the State Health Officer, the board shall consult and be advised by the committee on the promulgation of rules, regulations and procedures for the purposes of this section.15 Miss.
