Rule 15-19-60-8.5.1 - Titles and Abbreviations

It is unlawful for any person who is not licensed under these regulations as an occupational therapist or as an occupational therapy assistant, or whose license has been suspended or revoked, to in any manner represent himself as someone who provides occupational therapy services, or use , in connection with his name or place of business the words "occupational therapist," "licensed occupational therapy assistant," or the letters "O.T.","O.T.L.","L.O.T. "O.T.R.," "O.T.A." or O.T.A.L. "C.O.T.A." or any other words, letters, abbreviations or insignia indicating or implying that he is an occupational therapist or an occupational therapy assistant or that he provides occupational therapy services; or to show in any way, orally, in writing, in print or by sign, directly or by implication, or to represent himself as an occupational therapist or an occupational therapy assistant, or someone who provides occupational therapy services.
