Appliance and equipment services may be provided to patients by the home health agency only upon the written order of a physician, podiatrist, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or clinical nurse specialist. A home health agency may elect to provide the service directly or indirectly through a supplier. Policies and procedures shall be developed for the appliance and equipment services. All appliances and equipment provided for patients shall be maintained in good condition.
