When an agency provides or arranges for home health aide services, the aides shall be assigned because the patient needs personal care. The services shall be given under a physician's, podiatrist's, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, or clinical nurse specialist's order and shall be supervised by a registered nurse. When appropriate, supervision may be given by a physical, speech, or occupational therapist.
