Rule 15-16-1-41.84.17 - Required PoliciesThe PFER Emergency Department Policy Sections shall include:
1. Resources and Planning E. Equipment and SuppliesF. Pharmacologic/Therapeutic Drugs and AgentsI. Transfer policies and procedures for critical patientsJ. Electronic Medical RecordK. Relationships and ResponsibilitiesL. The policies and procedures governing medical care provided in the emergency service or department shall be established by and shall be a continuing responsibility of the medical staff. The PFER shall have written policies and procedures governing the receipt of patients from emergency medical services and the transfer of patients to a receiving facility. The policies must comply with Mississippi Emergency Medical Services Rules and Regulations.2. Core Measures A. Measure Groups i. Median Time from PFER Arrival to Departure for Discharged Patientsii. Median Time from PFER Arrival to Decision to Transferiii. Median Time from Decision to Transfer to arrival at receiving facilityiv. Total lengths of stay and door-to-doctor timesB.
