The professional staff shall be organized to accomplish its required functions. The professional staff organization must provide a framework in which the staff can carry out its duties and functions effectively. The complexity of the organization shall be consonant with the size of the facility and the scope of its activities. (Although not all members of professional health care disciplines need to be members of the professional staff, membership may include active staff, consulting staff, affiliate staff, associate staff and others according to the needs of the facility.)
