A is an organized structure of care for the pediatric patient. The must be established and recognized by the medical staff. The service includes personnel and resources necessary to ensure the appropriate efficient care delivery. The composition of the service will vary depending on the nature of the medical center, available resources and personnel and patient clinic need. All pediatric patients with multiple system trauma or major injury must be evaluated by the . Injured pediatric patients may be admitted to individual surgeons.
