Any and all inspection openings shall not be obstructed; they shall have adequate clearance for their purpose of being used as an inspection opening. They shall not be used for pipe connection. They shall not be increased in size unless with the concurrence of a licensed inspector, and then only according to and in compliance with the ASME Code's pertinent paragraphs.
