Boilers and pressure vessels and component parts to be installed for use in the State of Mississippi except those exempted by the provisions of Section 45-23-15 of the Act shall be designed, constructed, inspected, stamped and installed in accordance with current applicable section of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and/or the Rules and Regulations of the Department. Boilers and pressure vessels shall be stamped with applicable:
1. ASME Code stamping, Or |
Mississippi Special number or Mississippi Standard number |
ASME Code Symbol and the word "User," see Par. UG-116 (a)(1)(a), and |
Underwriters' Laboratory label on electrically heated boilers, pressure vessels and water heaters. |
2. Manufacturer's data reports on boilers, pressure vessels, and component parts which are to be installed and operated in the State of Mississippi except those exempted by the provisions of Section 45-23-15 of the Act shall be filed with the Chief Inspector, Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety Branch.3. If a boiler or pressure vessel is of special design and will not bear the ASME Code Symbol and National Board or user stampings, a permit for a State Special must be applied for in writing by the Mississippi user. Blueprints, design data, calculations and material showing details of the proposed construction shall be submitted to the Branch and approval obtained before construction is started.15 Miss. Code.
