Rule 13-8-4.7 - Interface with gaming device(a) Each gaming device interfaced with an on-line slot system using an interface component shall have the interface component either installed inside a secure area of the gaming device or shall employ a secure communication method between the gaming device and the interface component.(b) The interface component shall send information to the on-line slot system via a communication protocol approved by the Executive Director.(c) A system shall be designed such that communications that access gaming device components, including but not limited to, bill validators, hoppers and printers, may only access those components through a processor that has been approved using the standards and criteria for a gaming device.
