Section 11-8-2.1-7-703 - Applicability(a) Coal extraction which is an incidental part of government-financed construction is exempt from the act and these regulations. This exclusion shall in no way lessen the requirement of any facility, owner, or operator to comply with other federal or Mississippi laws applicable to the facility, owner, operator, or activity(b) Any person who conducts or intends to conduct coal extraction which does not satisfy § 703(a) shall not proceed until a permit has been obtained from the Department.11 Miss.
